For 25 years I've built finance functions: first as a consultant at Booz Allen, then as CFO four times. Seven times I built the planning systems that let a leadership team see clearly: a clean chart of accounts, connected systems, a driver-based model, and KPIs the board trusted.

Every time, I saw the same pattern. Companies didn't get these capabilities until they passed about $10M in revenue and could afford a finance team and enterprise software. Before that, founders and their investors made the biggest decisions (what to build, who to hire, when to raise) on spreadsheets and stale numbers.

AI changed that. By standardizing the data architecture and using AI to automate the close, the forecast, and the reporting, the same capabilities can now be built in weeks and run at a fraction of the cost. I started TrebleQ to give emerging companies, and the investors who back them, mature strategic finance from the start.
